Come witness 12 poets battle it out for a cash prize, the event will feature Josephus from Greensboro, NC. Hosted by Bluz.

Josephus III is a spoken word artist that has truly taken this art form to the next level. His poetry has been blended to perfection with soulful sounds and vivacious vocals set in tune to your life’s tempo. Infectious melodies will mark your memory and have stamped his live performances as original and innovative. The way his words mesh with the music create a unique sound that is memorable and mesmerizing. His music reaches a broad world wide audience in the R&B, NeoSoul, Pop, Hip-Hop, and Jazz fan-bases, bringing forth the birth of a brand new music genre “Soul Poetry”.

With his unique sound as a recording artist, the voice of a poet and the heart and soul of a visionary, Josephus is constantly transcending barriers. As a performing artist he displays his works and talents in theaters, clubs, museums, galleries, universities, corporate settings and stage productions just to name a few. As a teacher and lecturer he works in both the educational and corporate setting focusing on “Education through Correlation”, as well as showing students the importance of writing and poetry and how it directly relates to their life.

His new album entitled “Poetry is Life” is a concept album that embodies everything he is as an artist and will appeal to all - young and old. It has been a major breakthrough project receiving national radio play and carving a creative and innovative path for all music and poetry lovers alike. Every day he searches for new ways to use his gifts and abilities to pursue the hopes, dreams, ambitions and purpose of his life.

Josephus is............Poet, Recording Artist, Entrepreneur, Teacher, Dreamer, Visionary, Mentor, Brother, Son..
