Trip Organizer: Rick A. Activity Type: Tour Historic Home and Hiking Difficulty Rating: Easy We will be touring Carl Sandburg Historic Home in Flat Rock, NC. It will take around 2 hours to drive there. It's a $5.00 entrance fee to tour the house. We will hike on the Glassy Trail. It is a round trip hike of 2.5 miles, and 1 hour 30 minutes to hike plus stopping to enjoy any views, 2 hours max., 523 foot elevation gain to Glassy Mountain. Please bring money for carpooling and to tour the home. We look forward to seeing you there!
