Red Audio - InFormation at Empty Glass

RED AUDIO COMES TO CHARLESTON ON MARCH 23 Red Audio is going to rock the Empty Glass in Charleston, WV on Friday, March 23, 2012 from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. with local favorites “TBA,” which will start at 9 p.m and doors are at 8 pm. The band have been bringing their own variety of psychedelic rock to the Mountain State since 2009 and are based in Summersville, WV, Their performance will include three 50 minutes sets preceded by the opening act “TBA.” Fans can expect hours of fist-pumping trippy electronic rock accompanied by retina-burning visual effects and rave-like pulsating bass. It’s so easy to get mixed up about when to take them seriously because they so frequently alternate between politically-charged social commentary and whimsical spoofs about intergalactic girlfriends - that you’ll soon find yourself singing along while laughing about a serious issue and looking for your old blacklights! In fact, Red Audio fans are known for wearing UV reactive clothing and getting crazy with neon paint! Just remember that the stuff in glow sticks burn your skin and that if the place gets crazy - just cover your eyes, keep a tight grip on your booze and you’ll be just fine! According to fan Mary Jay, a first-time fan and West Virginia resident, says that “surprisingly enough, they’re an immensely talented local band” and that she “was surprised the were from West Virginia and didn’t expect them to have such a substantial neon-clad underground cult following.” Frontman and lyricist Jett Bailes doesn’t just sing about making the world a better place - he’s making the world a happier place one dance floor at a time. The band is touring to promote their newest album release entitled “Girl From Outer Space” and to move beyond the hometown venues which they have outgrown. The album is available to download for FREE on iTunes and autographed CDs will be for sale at their shows - along with t-shirts, stickers and other merchandise. In-studio performances and interviews are available upon request. To schedule an interview, in-studio performance or if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call or e-mail Brad Lovejoy at 304-389-0006 or redaudioband@gmail.com.
