Guest Artist Joshua Roman was but 22 when he joined the Seattle Symphony Orchestra as their Principal Cellist. He’ll be the featured soloist for Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme. Also on the bill is Smetana’s The Moldau (six “symphonic poems” evoking the landscape of Bohemia), Dvorak’s lyrical Silent Woods, and “Rhenish,” Schumann’s last symphony. Christopher Wilkins (Orlando Philharmonic, Akron Symphony) conducts.
