Description:
In connection with the exhibition Almost Now: Cuban Art, Cinema, and Politics in the 1960s and 1970s, the Ackland is pleased to collaborate on an exciting musical event with two UNC-Chapel Hill student ensembles: the Charanga Carolina and the UNC-Chapel Hill Jazz Band. On November 10th, experience an evening of salsa and swing dancing with live music by these two premier ensembles. A concurrent multimedia display offers a glimpse of the works on view at the Ackland.
Salsa lessons for beginners will be offered when the doors open at 8:45 PM; dancing for all ages and levels will follow.
