Description:
This workshop provides an in-depth description of the OpenMP standard for writing parallel programs. Visit http://learnit.unc.edu/workshops for a complete description and to register.
**This workshop will meet 1:00-5:00 on September 22nd and 9:00-12:00 on September 24th. Plan to attend both days.**
Prerequisites:
* No prior experience with OpenMP or parallel programming is required to take this workshop; however, an understanding of computer programming is necessary.
* An account on the UNC research computing SGI altix cluster, cedar/cypressr.isis.unc.edu is required. To request an account on cedar/cypress, see the "Subscribe to services" button on https://onyen.unc.edu/
* Familiarity with Unix/Linux based operating systems including basic file manipulation and use of a text editor (vi or emacs) is necessary.
* Programming capability in at least one of Fortran, C or C++ is required.





On the MySpace bulletin board page click "Post Bulletin".
