Chandler Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the expansion of the Teen Pregnancy Program. In addition to teen childbirth preparationclasses, a teen parenting support group is going to be implemented.
TEENS 4 Teens (Teen Education Encouragement Networking and Support)will offer support and guidance to teen moms and their babies during one of the most crucial times in their lives. This support group will concentrate oncreating and assisting with positive life outcomes for this underservedpopulation. The programs'goals will focus on:
Preventing or postponing subsequent pregnancies until educational and personal goals are met.
Promoting positive parenting.
Providing education on a variety of topics that impact teens today.
Future plans to provide volunteer mentors to guide parenting teens insecuring their goals and providing resources.
