Free Appliance Recycling Event
Lewis County residents may recycle appliances for free at transfer stations in Centralia and Morton from Monday, May 14, through Saturday, May 19.
Appliances include refrigerators, freezers, hot water tanks, washing machines, dryers, dish washers and ranges. Doors to refrigerators and freezers may be recycled at the same time, but they must be removed from the appliance.
No other electronic devices will be recycled for free during this event.
The Centralia facility, which is located at 1411 S. Tower Ave., is open Monday through Saturday 7:30 to 5:30. The East Lewis County Transfer Station, which is a few miles east of Morton on Highway 12, is open Monday through Saturday from 8:30 to 5.
Customers should be prepared to unload their own vehicles.
