Moving Day Walk for Parkinson's Disease

The National Parkinson Foundation’s Moving Day is the National Parkinson Foundation Georgia Chapter’s annual fundraising Walk event. It will be a day of joining together and raising awareness of Parkinson’s disease. In addition to a fundraising walk, it will be a celebration of movement, with a special Movement Pavilion featuring yoga, dance and much more. We anticipate more than 500 participants, which will include people with Parkinson’s, families, friends, healthcare professionals, corporate leaders and corporate teams to join together to raise funds in support of the Foundation’s mission. It will be a day to move, a day that will move you and a day to move others.

Although this is the first year that Cedartown and Polk County have hosted a National Parkinson Foundation Moving Day Event, it is the 5th year that people will be coming from across the Southeast United States to celebrate Parkinson's Awareness Month. Each year since 2008 people have come to Cedartown to "Walk for Hope" for a better tomorrow and a cure for Parkinson's. The Parkinson's Walk for Hope is joining NPF's Moving Day to create a special day of Celebration, Awareness and Hope!
