For those of you who are not aware, Meetup.com charges each group to use the meetup platform. If you would like to make a donation to the group dues, I've set up this event to enable you to easily pay via paypal with a credit card. I've set the "event fee" at $10 to help cover the meetup charge, but remember that if you use a credit card thru paypal, $1 of that goes to paypal fees. Feel free to change the amount if you would prefer to give more or less. You'll have the ability to do so through this link. Please Note: "This link" may not be activated , because enabling paypal for event fees is complicated when there are several organizers in a group; Only one paypal account can be active and assistants do not have the ability to change the default paypal account when they set up events of their own. For this reason, the link may not be active at this time. You can still contribute though, and if you need me to activate the link for you, I will. Payments made thru the link posted here would be sent to: juniperoneill@YAHOO.com , which is set up to receive credit cards, but remember, a certain amount of every payment is deducted by paypal. Its been a while since I checked but unless their rates have gone up, $1 becomes ~$0.65 ; $5 becomes ~$4.50 ; $10 becomes just a little over $9; $21 becomes ~$20; $50 becomes ~$48. All that being said, If you want to make a donation to the group fees using a credit card, feel free to paypal the YAHOO address. If you are making a smaller contribution or have the ability to pay with something other than a credit card I would encourage you to send paypal to juniperoneill@HOTMAIL.com instead, since this is an account that will not be charged anything (NOTE that it does not accept credit cards though). In either case, please send me a comment to let me know the payment is a donation for the wine meetup. Your name ( in addition to your email ) would be greatly appreciated. You may also choose to give me cash or check when you see me. Please note that SHOULD there be any excess funds, beyond having a few months fees in reserve, we will discuss how the excess funds will be used. I assure you that I will not profit personally in any way by your contributions. Thank you for supporting the Baltimore Wine Enthusiast Meetup Group !! Please Note: This event is "closed to RSVPs" because its not an actual event so it doesn't take rsvps. I dont want this to confuse anyone. You can still contribute by typing in the appropriate email address from your own paypal account. Also, it is not necessary to rsvp "No" if you choose not to contribute at this time. This will be an ongoing 'event' and I'll be changing the date of the event to keep it on the calendar so you may choose to contribute at a later date if not at this time. Thanks!
