Baltimore Jedi Meetup - Energy Work

Maryland Jedi Order Baltimore Chapter Meeting Sunday November 22, 2009 4:00 ÂÂ- 4:30 Introductions and Logistics (Aimee) WeÂÂ'll take some time to introduce the group and its purpose for any new members, along with sharing brief introductions to help us all get to know each other a little better. Introductions will then be followed by brief logistics and updates about the Baltimore Jedi Chapter, associated Maryland Jedi Order groups, upcomign Gatherings, topics for future meetings, and the Jedi Resource Center forum upgrade. 4:30 ÂÂ- 5:00 Qigong Practice (Aimee) The Force is real. This energy or vital life force known as chi, prana, ki, etc, flows through each and every one of us. We'll do some basic qigong practice to help get the energy flowing. Members can choose from Taiji Ruler, Tai Chi Chih, or just some individual movements to start circulating the energy in the body. 5:00 ÂÂ- 6:00 Energy Work and Energy Sensing Techniques (Everyone) Once we have our energy pathways all fired up, we'll work on feeling the energy both within ourselves and in the environment around us. We'll have fun with different drills, games, and techniques to help fine tune our sensitivity and increase our control over influencing this energy. ____________________________________________________ Every month the Baltimore Chapter will have new workshops based on member interest and skill level. Volunteers to lead workshops and feedback are encouraged and welcome. Light refreshments will be served. Meetings are free, although donations are welcome to go towards food and paying for the costs of running the meetup group.
