The Access to Justice Coalition is looking for members and supporters. Since the Wyoming Legal Services office was closed in Casper, a year ago, hundreds of low income individuals including senior citizens and people with disabilities ahve not had any reasonable access to legal assistance for their civil issues.
The Federal government in the form of the Legal Services Corporation did turn loose of limited funds for an Interim program that is housedi n Cheyenne. The funding is too little too late. Certainly not enough funding to serve the residents of Casper and Natrona County.
Access to Justice Coalition wants to hear from individuals in the county. There will be a meeting on November 9 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (location to be announced). for individuals to testify as to the need in Natrona County.
