Join Us for a Fastastic Evening In the Alley! It's Family Friendly and It's Free to Attend!!! This event has become too difficult to pull off as a CGSA event :). But a lot of us are usually there. Ask the Ticket Man where to find one of us to introduce you to others. Or look for Esther on the microphone doing the announcing and she can lead you to one of us. The event is held 5:30pm - 9:00pm in "The Alley" between 2nd & 3rd St. off Florence St. & Historic Downtown District - Florence Street between 2nd and 4th Streets. Our very own Esther emcee's this event every month. "Show and Shine" Car Show on Florence Street between 2nd and 4th Streets "Open Mike" w/local musicians, De Porter, Lance Burden, Our very own CGSA Dennis Beye, & others in "The Alley" Open During 'Art In The Alley': Cook E Jar Restaurant Granny B's Country Cottage Flaggin' It Golf Quilter's Corner Carlton's Art, Craft & Hobby Supplies The Winner's Circle - Trophy and Recognition Gifts Old Town Custom Framing & Gifts Casa Grande Candle Company There is kettle corn, icees, hot dogs and other goodies. Now there is a homemade chocolate booth (during the cooler months) ~ (they happen to be friends of CGSA) and wow! good stuff!! Cook E Jar will be open until 8 p.m. and other businesses will be have their doors open as well. Make sure to check out Flaggin' It Golf. From what I hear, you can practice your putting for free!! There is always entertainment and it's always a nice, laid back social good time! There's poetry readings and singing performances. And of course, of course, our Erin & Ludy and the rest of the belly dancers. There will be artistic vendors lining the alley, arts and crafts booths lining Florence St. and occassionally we get really lucky and the Polynesian War Dancers make an appearance...now that's something to see! This event is growing! The event now has the CG City Council's blessing to close down Florence Street so that this event can overflow into the downtown businesses. Occassionally, there is a live broadcast with radio station 104.3 at Flaggin' It Golf and there is a "Show & Shine" Car Show on Florence St. between 2nd and 4th St's. The open mike continues with local musiciains (CGSA Dennis Beye included), dancers and poets in the 'alley'. There are musicians performing at 4th and Florence St. Look forward to seeing you there and supporting our local downtown.
