In addition to AVA fee, there is a $1 daily walk fee for Sauk Rail Trail paid at trail head. Walk is at Swan Lake State Park on paved trail with two loops. Map to park is in walk box. Swan Lake has an education center, canoes and paddleboats, wildlife park, museum and summer weekend programs. Trail is not cleared of snow and ice in winter.
