Central Indiana Dance Ensemble Presents, “Coppélia”
Magic, Chaos, and Comedy erupt from the studio of eccentric Toymaker Dr. Coppélius when he leaves his newest creation, a doll named Coppélia in his studio. The ballet about vivacious young Swanilda, her impetuous suitor Franz, the eccentric toymaker Dr. Coppélius, and Coppélia, “a living doll”, will have you laughing and wanting more. Throw some mischievous maidens in the mix and you have one of classical ballets true gems. Central Indiana Dance Ensemble will perform Coppélia on May 19th at 2pm and 7:30pm, at the Tarkington, located at The Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel, 3 Center Green, Carmel, IN.
