Description
On two consecutive Fridays, October 30 and November 6, join us for an overview of owls commonly found in PA, followed by some information discovered about saw-whet owls as a result of a cooperative research project, conducted by the Ned Smith Center for Science and Art, and hosted by Kings Gap. What has been learned during years of research on this nocturnal predator, the smallest owl found Pennsylvania Weather permitting, licensed banders from the Ned Smith Center will monitor capture nets throughout the evening. If owls are netted, you will be able to observe the banding and data collection process indoors on a live bird and see it released back into the wild.
