The Summit Swimming program is based on the American Red Cross and National Safety Council's Learn to Swim programs. The preschool classes offer a variety of fun and challenging opportunities for children to learn comfort in and around the water and learn the components of swimming strokes. Swim lesson participants are required to register for their age group. During the first class students will be placed in a class based on their skill and comprehension level. After initial assistance and support by the instructor, children in our preschool programs will progress to independent movements and beginner strokes. Water safety is a huge component of all lessons and during one class the students will participate in a structured water safety activity (topics will rotate each session). In addition each student will be issued an activity folder and weekly activity sheets based on the skills taught during the class.

During the Fall/Winter sessions there will be no class: Nov 24 & 30, 2011 and Mar 3 & 4, 2012
