What time is It Mr. Fox like to pretend they live in a circus in the woods. They enjoy fireplaces, dusty books, mystics, fiddles, soul music, carnivals, putting on make-up, taking off make-up, and making up stories.

“Torture chamber pop.” “Darkwave jazz.” “Siren rock.” These are a just a few words that describe the sound of Jaggery, an art-rock collective which weaves harp, viola, piano, contrabass, and drum kit into a universe of its own, setting the scene for “one of the most beautiful voices in modern music.” Powerful enough to harness the fiery churnings beneath a volcano as well as the ethereal light of a dying star, front woman Singer Mali’s voice regularly leaves listeners viscerally stunned and with goose bumps. She is flanked by a rotating lineup of musicians and instrumentation including Daniel Schubmehl’s West African approach to the drum kit, with jazz influences, Tony Leva’s funky upright bass, Rachel Jayson’s avant-classical viola, and Petaluma Vale’s glistening Celtic harp and backing vocals.

With piano that glitters and smolders, and vocals that seethe and soar, Sarah Rabdau and Self-Employed Assassins' songs are a wish list of things we should have said. Rabdau's piano pounds and cascades, drawing equally from Erik Satie and Phil Spector, with unapologetic nods to the usual girl-at-piano influences. ACED Magazine says she has a voice like “raging fire.”

Mary Bichner is an eclectic composer, arranger, transcriber and performer currently residing in Boston, MA. With one foot planted firmly in the classical world and another in the modern indie pop scene, Mary is able to travel effortlessly through both genres, creating pieces that enthrall classical enthusiasts and modern pop-rockers alike. Additionally, her musical superpowers of perfect pitch (the ability to recognize notes and chords simply upon hearing them played) and synesthesia (a bizarre neurological condition which causes Mary to “see” splashes of color when she hears specific pitches sounded) add a unique edge to each of her compositions.
