These boots were meant for hiking....

Note: July 17th is a FRIDAY Ok hikers, here are the details: We will meet at the trailhead for the Nineteen Mile Brook Trail and carspot down to Pinkham Notch. That's where we'll begin our hike. We're going to take the Lost Pond Trail to Wildcat Ridge Trail. The sections from the Lost Pond Trail junction to E Peak are very steep and rough, and there are several ups and downs and other steep, rough sections along the rest of the trail that make it more difficult and more time consuming than one might infer from a casual glance at the map or the distance summary. This section could be very dangerous when wet...so let's hope for nice weather. I've decided to leave Carter Dome for another day. I'm sorry if this disappoints you, but my father is coming to town that night and I need to get back at a resonable hour. Without Carter Dome we'll still summit plenty of peaks and I'm sure we'll have plenty of fun! With good weather we should have many good views too. Distances from Lost Pond Trail: *summit of E Peak 2.8 miles, 2 hours book time *summit of C Peak 4.2 miles, 3 hours *summit of A Peak 5.1 miles, 3 hours 45 minutes *Nineteen Mile Brook Trail 5.8 miles, 4 hours *To Parking from Nineteen Mile Brook 3.6 miles, 2 hours 45 minutes Make sure you are prepared for this hike! Below is a list describing the minimum clothing and equipment required to participate in this event. Sturdy hiking boots. Synthetic shirt and pants, including at least one insulating layer.
