Discover, experience and celebrate everything artistic on September 6
Every community - big or small - has creative and talented artists - painters, musicians, dancers, potters, writers and more. September 6 is an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments and demonstrate our strong community spirit. The goal is to showcase Alberta artists of all types, whether they pursue their art for a living or as a fulfilling hobby.

Join the Government of Alberta and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts in showcasing and celebrating the arts in Alberta and become part of a spectacular experience .

Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium Celebration
A major celebration is being planned for Calgary on September 6 to celebrate Albertas first-ever Arts Day.

A free, family-friendly, all-day event is being held at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium with many talented artists from across the province. Learn from the best that Alberta has to offer, whether its joining in on a hip hop choreography session or creating a unique presentation using the latest new media techniques.

Heebee Jeebees 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Les Bûcherons 12:45p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

In the evening, there will be a special gala and awards ceremony featuring major Alberta performers and performing arts groups.

First-Class Venue Most would agree, the Jubilee Auditorium has always been a first-class Calgary venue, however with extensive renovations completed in 2005, today the Jubilee it is downright spectacular. Seating and sightlines are now among the best in this extraordinary auditorium and the acoustics are something to rave about.

First class Events Every year the Jubilee Auditorium hosts a broad range of events and productions ranging from charity galas to highly acclaimed ballets and operas. Fans come from far and wide to enjoy their favourite musical concerts, comedy events, or to attend a ceremony or celebration. Notable presentations at the Jubilee include intimate concerts with Calgary’s Jan Arden, and multi-night presentations of some of the world’s most acclaimed musicals.
