Affordable fine dining at the Highwood (SAIT Culinary School)

One of Calgary's best kept secrets for affordable fine dining. Food and drinks are all prepared and served by students training to be chefs, servers, and bartenders. Reservations are made months in advance and fill up quickly. The five course meal consists of soup, salad, appetizer, a main entree and dessert. There are choices within those 5 categories. COST: The meal is 42.00 plus GST. A 15% gratuity is added to each person's individual bill. Tea and coffee is included with the meal. All other drinks are extra at a discounted fee. There is a nominal fee for parking and a $1.00 contribution to DSN. Individual bills will be prepared and can be paid by cash, debit or credit card. HOW: The LRT stops at the SAIT campus. If driving, take 16 Ave and turn at the lights at 12 Street NW into the campus. Follow the road which turns to the left. There is a large multi level parkade (P6 - Murdoch Parkade) to the left. Once you exit the parkade you will have to walk a little ways to The Highwood. There is an illuminated blue sign marking the Highwood across from the parkade. The Highwood Dining Room is in the John Ware Building on the SAIT campus. If you haven't had the opportunity to eat at Highwood, now is your chance.
