Starr's Cave Rock Climbing Wall Open
The outdoor 15-foot climbing wall at Starr's Cave Park and Preserve will be open for those wishing to test their climbing ability. Both Sept. 5 and 19 are early out days for the Burlington Community School District. Des Moines County Conservation staff will be on hand to instruct climbers.
The charge for climbing is $3 per person per Wednesday. Climbers must be at least eight years of age. Previous experience is not necessary. Pre-registration is not required. Starr's Cave Nature Center staff will provide all the necessary gear and instruction. The program will be cancelled in the event of rain or thunderstorms.
