      The 125th Vermont Library Conference: Cultivate Resilience Keynote speaker Anne Galloway, founder of VTDigger.org Join us for a full day of speakers, exhibits, section meetings, and networking with your colleagues from around Vermont. Breakfast, lunch, and all-day coffee included in the cost of registration. Registration and breakfast at 8:00 a.m.Opening remarks, awards, and keynote at 9:00 a.m. Participants are invited to attend a reception at UVM's historic Billings Library from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Find the full schedule and session descriptions at https://www.vermontlibraries.org/conference2019/programs/. VLA Members: register by April 22 to lock in early bird rates. Pay by credit card or use instructions at checkout to send check payment by May 1. What are transportation/parking instructions? Ride sharing is strongly encouraged. Create or join a carpool at http://www.groupcarpool.com/t/p72gza. A permit is required to park at UVM. Please indicate on your registration form if you need a permit for your car. Permits will be distributed separately prior to the conference with driving directions to the assigned parking lot. How do I reserve a hotel room if I arrive the night before? Tuesday night accommodations are available at the Double Tree by Hilton (formerly the Sheraton, 870 Williston Road) by booking online or calling (800) 445-8667 (1-800-HILTONS). Mention the Vermont Library Conference to qualify for a group rate of $115.** Please reserve your room prior to April 30. Keep an eye on the VTLIBRARIES listserv and VLC 2019 website for details on preconference social events on Tuesday evening, May 21. Are meals provided? Yes, breakfast and lunch are included with registration. Bring a travel cup for water, coffee, and tea throughout the day. What’s the refund policy for conference registration? Libraries are encouraged to send an alternate attendee to the conference. I have a question not answered here. Who do I contact? Email the conference committee at vermontlibraryconference AT gmail.com **Hotel taxes and fees extra. Vermont State Meals & Rooms tax is currently 10%. A deposit equal to one night’s room and tax will be charged 7 days prior to arrival, and upon check-in, will be applied towards the guest’s bill. Deposits paid by guests are non-refundable. Room reservations may be canceled without penalty no later than 7 days prior to arrival. Reservations cancelled after these dates are subject to a cancellation charge of one night’s room and tax.
