Description: Are we alone in the universe? One group of scientists believes that the potential for extraterrestrial life exists in many places throughout the galaxy, pointing to robotic transmission and radio astronomy and identifying exo-planets as evidence. A second group of scientists, generally ignored or ridiculed by the first group, argues that we have sufficient evidence from UFO sightings and other extraterrestrial indicators that we are being visited. Why are these phenomena viewed differently by different groups of scientists, and what roles do national governments play? If we are being visited, then what is the interest in our planet and why don't the extraterrestrials present themselves more conclusively? Could it have something to do with how an "advanced" civilization might view our planet and its inhabitants?
