We are showing a movie!!! But I am not telling you which movie. You have to come on faith that I pick good movies. Directions are: south on shelburne rd, r at light be shelburne museum, go past wake robin, road curves to left, stay on greenbush road and pass shelburne orchard on r, pass orchard road on r, next r is Ten Stones Circle. The common house is the first structure on the left, just passed the mailboxes. 1. Also, we have some members who have certain food sensitivities. For their sake, lets remember to make an ingredients card for the foods that we bring. We really appreciate this favor and the others just might like to make the dish and the card will give them a good deal of help for that journey. VEGAN? RAW? ...OTHER FAQs WHAT IS THE POTLUCK FOR? To connect the community while having fun with Live foods. We can benefit from knowing each other. Plain and simple. I know you have a lot to offer as a friend and community member, and I am also glad to know you for your skills & knowledge. So, it's like networking, but it's more of a party with food and art amongst good people who just might be your best friend one day! WHAT IS VEGAN? In my definition, vegan food contains no animal by-products including bee's honey and pollen. Though raw honey and pollen have medicinal benefits and good morally-sound bee keepers are very important to health in ecology and agriculture, I am excluding them for simplicityÂÂ's sake. Ethically, there are many reasons to go vegan. This diet can open up myriad possibilities, from the personal (ÂÂ"Peace with the MindÂÂ") to the political (ÂÂ"Peace with the CommunityÂÂ"). When one engages the practice of "Integrating Peace on Every Level," one opens the opportunity to create peace with the body, mind, family, community, culture, ecology, and the divine oneness as a pervasive experience in lifeÂÂ-moment to moment, day by day. WHAT IS RAW? "Let thy food be thy medicine, and thy medicine be thy food" ~ Hippocrates Organic raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds are packed with valuable enzymes and nutrients that aid in digestion and allow the body to exercise it's innate capacity for health and rejuvenation. When we cook our food (above 118 deg.) these enzymes begin to die. It is understood by many that a vegan organic live food diet strengthens oneÂÂ's body (ÂÂ"the vesselÂÂ") and allows one to have the capacity to hold More Light. This diet combined with Yoga and Meditation can open up the possibilities for liberation or even plain old happiness. I must also mention that there is not enough food on the planet to feed a hungry soul and one cannot eat their way to liberation or happiness. WHAT DO I BRING? Bring food or come empty handed, but do bring an appetite! Or eat before you come if you think you can't get full eating a dinner that is 100% Raw, Organic and Vegan (yummy!!!!). If you bring food, please be very sure it is all three: 100% Raw, Organic and Vegan (yummy!!!!). Could just be a bag of apples(1/2 peck, I think it is called!). Call me if you are digging for inspiration on what to bring {Joshua-([masked]}, BUT don't be worried if you can't bring anything, Please come and bring a smile. May you have steadfast peace, compassion, and elevation Joshua A. Pfeil
