Marie-Jo Lafontaine

Having earned a world-wide reputation, Marie-Jo Lafontaine ranks highly among the most renowned artists in the field of contemporary art. Her work has been exhibited in the major museums and the most prestigious galleries: from the Guggenheim in New York to the Tate Gallery in London, from the SMAK in Gent to the Georges Pompidou Centre in Paris, from the prestigious Musée du Jeu de Paume in Paris to the museum of contemporary art in Basel, as well as the Cantini museum in Marseille, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and the list goes on. A rare visitor to Brussels, it is the first time that she is exhibited at the Botanique, with a focus on her preferred techniques: photography, video and sound installation.
