If you are (relatively) new to teaching, we encourage you to participate in CLLs initial teacher-training programme How to survive in the classroom, in English and Dutch, from Monday, 5th January to Friday, 9th January at CLL, BXL (Kraainem).
This session aims to equip new, highly motivated but inexperienced language trainers with a survival kit of ideas, tools and best practices to get started in the classroom.Whats in it for you?* You will receive high quality initial training free of charge (in most schools this kind of training is very expensive).* You dont need to go abroad to do the course and have to face travel and accommodation costs on top of the training.* After the course you will have a good all-round foundation knowledge to start you off at CLL. The variety of topics aims to make you as polyvalent as possible (although we cant speak about specialisation, yet!) so that CLL can expand your timetable and you can increase your monthly income!Whats in it for CLL?* More teachers ready to go on the field* Teachers especially home-trained by CLLs Pedagogical Service I, personally, will be in charge of the training with the help of Leonie, Conny and Guido.

° Participants will have no or very limited language teaching experience.° It is important to participate in the whole programme and to arrive in good time for each session.° Most plenary sessions will be given in English (so it is necessary to understand, but not speak, English sufficiently for this purpose). If you teach a language other than English or Dutch, you are also welcome but you will need to adapt the activities to your own language.° The language focussed activities will be divided into English and Dutch.° Participants will agree to work for CLL for at least 6 months following this free training course.° Enrolments are limited to 35 people per group. In case of huge enrolment numbers, CLL will select the trainers who sign up first and who are immediately available to work for CLL.
