THE METERMAIDS New York-based duo that combine indie rock with hip-hop. Their punk-party style and memorable hooks have won them critical acclaim and national airplay. Their most recent project, a mash-up of their album, "NIghlife" with Sufjan Stephens' "Come On Feel The Illinois" garnered them attention from the Village Voice and Playboy among others.
SPOKINN MOVEMENT NYC-based rock and hip-hop band fronted by rapper IllSpokinn. Bringing the drive of hard rock together with IllSpokinn's quick flow and freestyle mastery, Spokinn Movement puts on a fun and energetic live show. They are regulars at the Blue Note and have performed all over the U.S. and Europe.
RYAN-O'NEIL Jamaican-born NYC hip-hop artist, whose last album, a collaboration with DJ/producer 100 DBS, won critical accolades from a wide variety of outlets, including hip-hop super-source OKPlayer.
JAKE LEFCO From Philly, but now resides in New York City, where he has been making and releasing hip-hop records for several years. He is an active member of the Urban Art Beat program, and his latest album, Missing Trooth, was released on Karma Response Unit Records.
KATS & DOMER W/DJ SMUTTVILLAIN The founders of FreeIceCream.net. Making all their music available for FREE on their site, this hip-hop outfit has released a slew of new projects, collaborating with some of the most prolific hip-hop artists in New York City as part of their Almost Fameless Mixtape series.
