Description
Tuesday, 11/10
Onesmallhouse.org Fundraiser

a fundraiser for December 2009 build in Mexico. with Raffles, Drink Specials, Piñata, DJ Jaims & MC Mike Ros

One Small House is a continually growing group of friends who, twice a year, travel to Mexico to build houses, and have lots of fun along the way! We are mostly bi-coastal (go Oakland and New York City!) and come from incredibly diverse backgrounds. Our common bond is that we believe in the importance of building community by sharing the talents of all

One Small House (O-S-H) is a NYS non-profit organization that strives to build homes for the poor. The current trips to Mexico represent our march against poverty through building. It is also the captivating story of a guy from New Rochelle, NY, who answered his calling through the founding and the development of this organization. This guy is Robert M. Katz. He has led groups on builds in Mexico for over 8 consecutive years now! Over 20 families have homes because of these builds. Other people have been captivated and joined in on the mission. Moments become stories on these builds. Strangers become friends. Just to mention one example, two volunteers met on a build and later on got married!
