Description
Jerome Jordan start the weekend off with a little bit of Indie and a little bit of new wave. Jerome along with friends and special guests will bring to Solomon's Porch a cool night of alternative music.

Jerome Jordan, singer, songwriter, guitarist, born and raised in Brooklyn, has played and sang with New York City powerhouse bands. Jerome’s own music, known amongst his circle of musicians, as Extended Chord Rock, is, of course, a combination of all of his influences from 1980’s post punk new wave to 70’s funk and soul to experimental industrial noise, to hardcore, to jazz and fusion to classical. The subjects are lofty, poetic, and profound. His performances are intense. Check out his videos on www.woozyfly.com/jeromejordan.

A few quotes:
“Jordan is NYC’s own hardest working man in show biniss, doing duty in myriad bands and serving as something of a black rock impresario. While Jordan is poised as the local scene’s great guitar hero, Tamar-Kali is its post-punk Queen Bee. “
–Kandia Crazy Horse, from The Village Voice, Author of "Rip It Up: The Black Experience in Rock ’n’ Roll"

"Nowhere in the year 2002’s trumpeting of Great White Hypes and their predominantly retro sounds was there much if any room for the current crop of rock star hopefuls on the black-hand side: Tamar-Kali, Kregg Ajamu, Santi White & Stiffed, Cherry, Cody ChestnuTT, Joi, Martin Luther, Martha Redbone, Jerome Jordan, Mascara and even Cee-Lo (of Knarles Barkley), "
-Kandia Crazy Horse, from the book, "Rip It Up: The Black Experience in Rock ’n’ Roll"
