This duo's second release in ten years ["At Night", 2007] is an exquisite program of original songs (three set to texts by Rumi), pop covers (a psychedelic "Norwegian Wood"), and freeform vocal/instrumental inventions. Monder and Bleckmann are original, emotionally compelling stylists with a committed and growing following. At Night takes their collaboration deeper into uncharted landscapes, linking pop, art song, jazz, electronic/ambient, and improv.
