Philmont Scout Ranch, the Boy Scouts of America's premier high-adventure base, challenges Scouts and Venturers with more than 200 square miles of rugged New Mexico wilderness.
Backpacking treks, horseback cavalcades, and training and service programs offer young people many ways to experience this legendary country. Join UWM and REI's own, Chuck McBride, for an informative clinic on how to prepare for your trip to Philmont. Emphasis on footwear, backpacks and clothing will be given. Don't go to camp slowed down by poor preparation. Let REI empower you for your journey.
