Cody Childs sings the songs of Sam Cooke with soulful honesty and passion on Sat., Nov 14th 2009, 2:15 pm at the Bronx Library Center at 310 East Kingsbridge Road in the Bronx. Cody said that he has been listening to Sam Cooke's music since the age of two. His parents used to play Sam's music all the time. His music was soulful, southern, bluesy, inspirational, cheerful, and passionate. It made you want to shout. Cody Childs & His trio want to bring that feeling back to audiences who crave the lengendary music of Sam Cooke.
