The Swim
The 600 yard swim is held in warm, crystal clear Lake Dunmore. The swim will be a one loop course which will be lined with lots of buoys. There will be wave starts of no more than 75 participants per wave. The swim is extremely safe as you are rarely in over 6 feet of water at any given point. There will be lifeguards in kayaks and boats at various locations monitoring the course at all times.
The Bike
The 14-mile bike is a beautiful one loop course, which we like to describe as "rolling." The route is extremely spectator friendly, open to traffic & will be monitored closely by course marshals. There will be a marshal or officer at all turns. The elevation of the course ranges from approximately 300 ft to 650 ft Absolutely no drafting.

The Run
The 3.1-mile run is an out and back course. The out and back should provide for excellent spectator support. We will have one aid stations on the course which you will hit twice. This station will offer water, HEED and Hammer Gel. This is a very shaded course that, like the bike course, may be described as rolling.
Vermont Sun
We've been putting on triathlons and road races since 1985. We take great pride in producing races that are professionally organized, safe, fun, fair and affordable. You will not find any courses more beautiful than these!
The Vermont Sun Triathlon Series
These events are truly designed for triathletes of all ages and abilities. Each multi-sport event has team divisions so participants can simply "team-up" and do one or two events rather than the entire race. Teams of three are also encouraged.
The Venue
Nestled against the Green Mountain's, just below Rattlesnake Point is Branbury State Park. The lake region is a most spectacular and pristine place to swim, bike, and run. Novice and advanced triathletes alike marvel the beauty of our courses and enjoy the mountains, lakes and streams of Central Vermont. The swim takes place in warm, calm, crystal clear Lake Dunmore. The bike and run courses loop around the rolling hills of the lake.
