Event details: Christmas Drive for our Troops!!!!

We are doing a drive for the Troops. We owe it to them to DO SOMETHING...
We are going to be doing a Tea Party type event (so bring your signs) but we are focusing mainly on donations of personal items that make being a soldier "more comfortable" ie. baby wipes, razors, toothbrushes, socks, etc... Things they would have much more use for than presents. I will put up a detailed list of items needed soon.
We are also still collecting cell phones for www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com so please BRING YOUR OLD CELL PHONES!
If you feel more inclined to donate cash rather than go look for the items, ALL DONATIONS WILL BE SPENT ON SUPPLIES OR SHIPPING!
I will post more info on the meetup but please SAVE THE DATE.
THEY ARE THE REASON WE HAVE OUR FREEDOM!
WE EXPECT TO SEE ALL MEMBERS AT THIS MEET UP! Even if you don't have the time to stay and hang out, you can still stop in for a minute. These men and women put their lives on the line to serve YOU! The least you could do is make a minute for them! If money is an issue keep in mind it's an issue for them too. We are all suffering economic hard times, but we are giving plenty of notice. We thank you so much for anything you can do!!
Suggestion: If you're at the store pick up one or two items, by the time we do the meet up you'll have gotten an entire care package.

Palma Sola Bay
Driving west on Manatee Avenue (SR-64) from Bradenton to Anna Maria Island, the road crosses Palma Sola Bay via a causeway. When the road narrows from 4 lanes to 2, there is a public beach on both sides of the highway.There's plenty of parking and the Florida Dept of Transportation has done a great job of landscaping the causeway.
The beach is popular with dog lovers and horse owners.
