Description
This is a Women's Lodge. If you RSVP to join us please show up or courteously cancel. If you are new to the Lodge experience please read the following. If you have any questions please email me directly at charlynn@weavingunity.com. When you invite guests please inform them of the following information or have them read the Lodge information on my website: weavingunity.com; it is important for new guests to be informed. NEW this year - Lodge Retreat Weekends. You are welcome to reserve an overnight space to join us for additional Lodge teachings, Shamanic teachings, and just spending more time in the beauty of nature. I have rooms here at my retreat center, some camping spaces are availabe. Space is limited so reserve early. Call or email and I will get you the rates. Our Lodge is a teaching Lodge and honors the traditions that have brought it forward yet is held with current views that Love heals, and sustains our true Spiritual Nature. This is a wonderful and powerful ceremony that honors you, encourages your wholeness, and purifies body, mind, emotions, and spirit. If you have never been in a sweat lodge before this is a great place to start. My belief is that "suffering is optional and not recommended here!" I honor your process and if you need to leave the lodge all one has to do is ask for the door. On Lodge day: please arrive between noon and 12:30 for Lodge. Upon arrival to my home, drop off your potluck dish in the house. Use restroom. Proceed out the entry door to your right along the yard fence and up the hill to the Sweat Lodge. Just ask for Char Lynn. I will be there to greet and welcome you. If you want to be part of the power of the whole ceremony we begin the day by building the fire (which heats the stones) around 9am. Here we set the intentions for the day and this Lodge, as well as honor Spirit and the directions. We dress the lodge in a respectful way, again honoring the directions. You are welcome to join us without any previous experience. I do need help with this part of the day, so if you are available and wish to understand more of these teachings please let me know you can come early. The day proceeds as follows (well somewhat, when you arrive you are on 'ceremony time' and 'time' becomes not as important as who we are and what we are co-creating!): Noon-1:00 Meet and greet others. Create your own prayers ties (prayer bundles that create form of your inner prayers, become an offering to your spirit helpers in the lodge, and are burned with release after the lodge to 'let go and let Spirit.' 1:00pm -approximately 4:00pm: The Lodge Ceremony. This Lodge consists of four rounds (hot stones are brought into the Lodge, the door is closed, and we share with an intention that is set forth). In between rounds water is brought in for drinking. You are able to go out between rounds. 4:00-5:00pm: Completion of Lodge. Change clothes. Undress the Lodge. Retire to Char Lynn's home for potluck. (Please bring nutritious foods to serve 10+) Clothing is required, cotton is best. For men: shorts are fine. For women: loose clothing, shorts, t-shirt, sarong, dress. NO BATHING SUITS, the material does not breathe well and allow you to sweat (sweating is the point of our gathering). Bring an extra towel for the lodge or drying off afterward and warm clothes to change into. I ask for a $40-100 donation to honor the land, the materials, and time invested in this ceremony. For more details please see my website: weavingunity.com. If you would like to email me directly, my email address is charlynn@weavingunity.com or you can call me at 831-338-2996 (evenings are best) and please contact me at least two days before the event as my work week is often busy.
