New for 2009 - Closed Course! The entire course will be closed to all automobile traffic. The re-designed 10-mile course will be filled with cyclists only! It will tour landmarks, new and old, including, the Denver business district, Lower Downtown and the Cherry Creek shopping district. Participants are welcomed to do as many laps as time permits.
There's something wild about cruising on your bike in the middle of the night. Imagine the exhilaration of pedaling through the deserted streets of Denver with the strange light of the moon defining the course for you and thousands of other cyclists. Join us for this lunar lunacy! Whether you're an avid cyclist or you're simply looking for a great reason to dust off that bike in your garage, you won't want to miss the 17th Annual Kaiser Permanente Moonlight Classic. Starting and finishing at the Colorado State Capital, choose from the Family Wave with a 10:30 PM start or the Gonzo Wave with an 11:30 PM start. Benefiting Seniors Inc - Seniors Inc. is a 39-year-old non-profit agency dedicated to helping Colorado's elderly and their personal independence.
All REI Colorado Front Range locations are offering registration and packet pick-up July 8 - 16 (by 5:00 PM). REI Denver Flagship will provide extended walk-in options until 3:00 PM, Friday, July 17. For more information visit www.Moonlight-Classic.com or call 303.282.9020.
