Location: Boulder, CO
Type of Event: Touring
The Dream Ride is a non-profit, humanitarian bicycle ride created to raise funds for international development work in order to educate, aid, and mobilize those most in need around the world. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life in the developing world through the power of education. All proceeds will be donated to CARE International's 'Power Within' program (www.care.org). This signature program focuses on unleashing the natural ability of women and girls to make a great impact on the future through leadership education, teaching them how to influence others in positive ways.
The second annual DREAM ride will take place on July 17-19th, 2009 in Boulder Colorado. The 3-day event will follow a route through the Colorado Front Range from Boulder to Ft. Collins to Estes Park and back to Boulder. On average, daily mileage is around 60 miles, however, ambitious riders will have a chance to add on extra distance and challenging climbs on day two. Each participant is required to fundraise $2,000.
