Meet, Greet, and Eat with Big City Mountaineers

Learn about wilderness mentor volunteer opportunities, register for their signature Summit For Someone event, hear success stories from BCM youth leaders, mingle with current volunteers, munch on free appetizers, and enter to win some cool prizes! If you've been curious about getting involved and taking kids on local outdoor adventures, or challenging yourself on a mountain climbing fundraiser, this is your chance to make it happen! Big City Mountaineers' mission is to enhance the lives of under-resourced urban teens through transformative outdoor experiences. Summit For Someone climbers take on two formidable commitments: mentally and physically preparing to climb one of North America's most challenging peaks, and raising thousands of dollars. SFS climbers can also become wilderness mentors and see all their hard work come full circle. Come volunteer with BCM on a 7-day backpacking trip for urban teens in the beautiful CO wilderness in July-Aug. The first step to volunteering is to attend a New Volunteer Information Session to learn about Big City Mountaineers and your role as a volunteer.
