This month: LEED for Homes, Where We Stand

With the release of version 3 of the LEED for Homes Checklist fast approaching (scheduled for 2009) and a year under our belt with version 2, let's take a look at how we currently stand with the program nationally and within Colorado. Overall (including the Pilot), there are over 13,700 registered units and a total of 1,145 certified units (as of 12/1/08). In Colorado, only 6 units have been certified, with the first Platinum home occurring in the Summer of 2008. Currently, many multi-family and single family units are registered and being built in Colorado. LEED for Homes has been slow to take off in Colorado, but promises tremendous growth in the next year.

Speaker: Steve Byers, EnergyLogic
