“Where can you see flamenco, tap, modern, ballet,  Middle Eastern, African, Hawaiian, and Latin dance in November? At the Boulder Public Library!”
Each autumn, the “Dance is for Every Body!” showcase comes to the Canyon Theater and this year there are two full days to enjoy.  Local teenage ballet dancers, a seventy year old tap dancer, and Middle Eastern dancers of all ages get a chance to perform providing an opportunity for novice as well as professional dancers to take the stage together.   Equal parts entertainment and education, individual dance artists, dance companies, studios and schools use five to fifteen minute time slots to present their works-in-progress, finished dances, structured improvisations, mini-classes  - sometimes with audience participation – lecture demonstrations, and short original dance films.

The showcase is FREE and open to the public, and runs continuously throughout each day: Saturday, November 21, 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Sunday, November 22, 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the Boulder Public Library Canyon Theater, 1001 Arapahoe Avenue, Boulder, CO 80302.  Audiences are welcome to come and go as they please, but are encouraged to spend the afternoon.   A resource table with information on the presenters, local studios, classes, and upcoming events will also be available in the Canyon Gallery throughout the showcase weekend.  This is a wonderful family event for young and old, and there is plenty of parking in the Arapahoe Avenue lot of the library.
