Take advantage of the New Year and jump start your resolution to begin a wellness program! Our first 3LS Wellness Lunch will be held at Jan's home in Gunbarrel and will consist of an opportunity to practice the 3LS Wellness Program consisting of (Skilled) Relaxation, (Right) Exercise, and (Whole Foods) Diet. The event will start promptly at 12:00 noon and will consist of: Exercise: 15 - 20 minutes of exercise (your choice of following a 1-mile WalkAerobic Video, doing a simple stretching and strengthening routine (possibly guided by Jan), or do your own exercise. Skilled Relaxation: 15 - 20 minutes of Skilled Relaxation (your choice of silent meditation, listening to soothing music, or do your own relaxation method). Diet: 20 - 30 minutes (or longer) for lunch. Bring your own food to eat, and if you can, bring a whole foods dish to share with others. We will provide a selection of beverages and several sugar-free (and some allergy-free) desserts. If you are allergic to cats, please be informed that Jan has 2 cats who will be attending. This event costs $3 to $10 according to what you can afford to pay (or, barter, arranged ahead of time) and there is a limit of 8 attendees. The event will be on a first-to-sign-up-and-pay-gets-to-attend basis, so if you are interested, register and pay (or arrange a barter) promptly. You will be informed of the location (in Gunbarrel) upon registration for the lunch. (Note: We will not be holding an evening mini-seminar in January.)
