ONE STEP AWAY Benefit Concert for Jared Coppola and Children's Hospital Boston

Formed in July of 2007, One Step Away is a rock band hailing from Boston, Massachusetts with a fresh new sound. Drawing from many influences, their award-winning sound features strong powerful melodic vocals that soar over extraordinary instrumentals, thrilling audiences of all ages.

On November 15, 2009, One Step away will be raising funds for Children's Hospital Boston and The Jared Coppola Fund.

Jared Coppola, the junior cornerback suffered a cervical fracture after making a tackle on an English wide receiver, who had caught a pass. St. John's Prep team doctor Rich Iorio was on the sidelines and treated Coppola before he was taken by ambulance to Children's Hospital in Boston, where surgery was performed later that night. Following the injury Coppola had feeling, but no movement.

Doctors repaired the fracture and stabilized the neck area, but Coppola's long-term prognosis is undetermined. His family, coaches, and teammates remain hopeful for a full recovery, but Coppola faces a long rehabilitation period during which medical expenses will continue to mount.

Later this week he will be med-flighted to the Sheppard Center in Atlanta, one of the top rehabilitation centers in the country. The cost of the med-flight is not covered by insurance.

From a small start, One Step Away is exploding onto the Boston Music Scene with prolific energy coupled unparalleled musicianship, making every live show an unforgettable experience. With several TV appearances, performances at several dozen venues and multiple contest wins, they have already accomplished more at their young age than many bands have in their entire career.
