Legendary French-Armenian composer, virtuoso pianist and multiple Oscar winner MICHEL LEGRAND will be playing a rare Boston engagement at Symphony Hall in Boston (301 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston) on Wednesday, November 18, at 8:00 pm. He will be joined by French singing sensation MARIO PELCHAT. Five-time Grammy Award winner Dionne Warwick will be a special guest star. They will be accompanied by a quartet of brilliant musicians including CATHERINE MICHEL (harp), a soloist with Opéra de Paris. The concert is a mixture of classical movie tunes by Maestro Legrand, as well as jazz and Hollywood hits, built around the romance and nostalgia of the French ‘chanson’.

Michel Legrand is a musical composer, arranger, conductor, and pianist. Legrand has composed more than two hundred film and television scores and several musicals and has made well over a hundred albums. He has won three Oscars (out of 13 nominations) and five Grammys and has been nominated for an Emmy. He was twenty-two when his first album, I Love Paris, became one of the best-selling instrumental albums ever released. He is a virtuoso jazz and classical pianist and an accomplished arranger and conductor who performs with orchestras all over the world. Boston Symphony Hall
Symphony Hall opened on October 15, 1900. It was the first concert hall designed with acoustical principles in mind and is regarded as one of the two or three finest halls in the world. With the exception of the wooden floors, the Hall is built of brick, steel, and plaster, with only a moderate amount of decoration. It seats 2,625 people during the BSO season and 2,371 during the Pops season.
