The 2009 Creative Massachusetts: Artists Congress will take place over two days, Sat., Nov. 7, 2009 from 9:30 a.m . to 4:50 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009 1:00 to 4:30 p.m ., at the Boston Public Library, Rabb Lecture Hall, 700 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02116.www.bpl.org

The 2009 Creative Massachusetts: Artists Congress is organized by the Massachusetts Artists Leaders Coalition and is co-sponsored by the Kirstein Business Branch of the Boston Public Library.
This event is free, and open to all Massachusetts artists, of any discipline: visual, craft, literary, new media, performing artists.
Leaders from a variety of disciplines and areas of expertise will conduct panels and discussion on matters such as "How to Create Community, Network and Networking Tools," "Free and Low Cost Technology Tools For Artists and Artist Run Businesses/Projects," "Grants and Resources," "Copyright and IP Protection," "Meet the Press and Create your own Press," "How to Market, Price, Network and Negotiate," "Teaching Artists," "Artist Residencies," and more.
Massachusetts Artists Leaders Coalition (MALC), its meetings, and connected working groups are designed to bring together
artists leaders of all disciplines and artist(s) run organizations, initiatives, and businesses around key issues facing Massachusetts artists working in all disciplines.
Membership for MALC is FREE and open to Massachusetts individual artists of all disciplines and to Massachusetts artist(s) run
organizations.
