Beanwood On-Year Anniversary Networking and Grand Re-Opening at 222 Far

Saturday, November 28, Beanwood Coffee Latin Bistro will host and celebrate the company's one-year anniversary with a Networking Reunion and Grand Re-Opening from 10am until 6pm with a series of activities that include a ribbon-cutting ceremony by New Jersey State Assemblyman Joseph R. Malone III (R - District 30), Mayor James E. Lynch.Jr., Deputy Mayor Heather Cheesman, and town Commissioner Zigmont Targonski at 1pm. A menu sampling a the shop's Latin-inspired cuisine will take place from 12 noon until 2pm, a food drive to benefit area needy families will be conducted throughout the day, and a live musical performance by the music band Stone Cold Sober will take place at 7pm.

The celebration will also include plenty of opportunities for personal, business and social networking as well as chances for the public at large to meet several of the artists, organizations and business leaders who held community activities at the shop over the past year. Some of the confirmed and invited guests include professional photographer Tim Proctor, vocalist Anita Ferrer a.k.a. The Asbury Park Angel, musical performer Ted Wood of Kujos Lunch Money and the Underdogs, and musical groups such as The Trio and Soul Fire.

Beanwood is located at 222 Farnsworth Avenue in the city of Bordentown New Jersey. The event is free to the public.Register on-line at http://www.beanwood.eventbrite.com. The event organizers are asking all who attend to bring one or more nonperishable food items that will, in turn, be donated to the Food Pantry at St. Mary's Church as part of a project by the third-grade class at the church's school. For more information, call (609) 324-1300.

"It is truly a privilege to have a place like Beanwood that offers both a location and a mind-set that promotes diversity, encourages community engagement and provides this wonderful town the exposure it deserves as great place to live, work, recreate, worship and do business. They are an outstanding model." says New Jersey State Assemblyman Joseph R. Malone III (R - District 30 and Republican Budget Officer),

One of the highlight's of Beanwwod's first year was the relationship it developed with Fernbrook Farm, the Bordentown-based food grower that donated compost and plants to start the restaurant's organic vegetable and herb garden from which it uses the produce and condiments in some of their signature Latin-inspired dishes and the plentiful mint leaves in their popular, yet seasonal, ice cold Mango Tea.

Another focal point of the Bistro's success is its on-going calendar of events and activities, which now include some of the following notable artists, organizations and businesses:

• Personal Empowerment seminars with Professor Alvyn Haywood
• Jux-ta-Pose single parent support circle
• Cup of Hope Christian Women's Tea Society gatherings
• Hearts in Mind Relationship Coaching for Singles Meet-up
• We Are BOOST green education and awareness forums
• Salsa 101 expert dancing lessons with Susan Fanning
• Clare Estate Bingo Brunch for Seniors
• St. Mary's After-School Book Club

About Beanwood Coffee Latin Bistro:

Beanwood was founded by the management team of Elizabeth Acevedo and Pedro Gomez and opened in Bordentown in November of 2008 and has become a meeting hub for artistic, environmental, social support and educational organizations. Formerly of Princeton and now residing in this cozy historically noteworthy town, the couple traveled far and wide to study the business of coffee, from roasting to serving, under the tutelage of the late Oregon-based coffee consultant Alex Finsenko, American Barista and Coffee School and Diedrich Coffee Roasters in Idaho.
