Green Cay Nature Center

Green Cay Nature Center is the county's newest nature center that overlooks 100 acres of constructed wetland and provides educational opportunities about this unique habitat. The wetland features 1.5 miles of elevated boardwalk featuring interpretive signs about the habitat. The Nature Center includes a lecture hall, gift shop, and live animals in an extensive exhibit room that highlights wetland attributes. Come for a visit and find that there's something for everyone at this fantastic new facility! Time to put on those walking shoes and come along to explore the many natural preserves of Boca Raton and beyond. Join us for leisurely walks through the wetlands looking for many types of wildlife including birds, turtles, and alligators. Walk along the peaceful paths exploring our native plant life, aquatic plants, flowers and hammocks. If you want bring along your cameras and binoculars and dress for walking and the weather. All walks are on boardwalks over wetlands or hammocks. AFTER we will meet for lunch. Any Park feess and lunch will be on your own.
