High Country Festival of the Book at Meadowbrook Inn

The purpose of the High Country Festival of the Book is to promote the Friends of Watauga County Public Library and to draw attention to the importance of books, reading, literacy and libraries.

The Festival will be held at the Meadowbrook Inn in the mountain resort town of Blowing Rock on Saturday, Aug. 4th, 2012.


Saturday the exhibit area with publishers and antiquarian book sellers will open from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm. Author panels, author readings, and book signings will be scheduled throughout the day. We are scheduling authors for every interest from award-winning children's writers to Oprah Picks! Authors include Robert Morgan, Wade Rouse, Sandra Balzo, Rita Mae Brown, and James Hall.
