Complexions Contemporary Ballet

Under the artistic direction of Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson Complexions has been reinventing dance since their debut in 1994. Featured on "So You Think You Can Dance," (US and Australia) this group's foremost innovation is that dance should be about removing, not reinforcing, boundaries. Whether it's the limiting traditions of a single style, period, venue, or culture, Complexions transcends all of these and creates an open, continually evolving form of dance that reflects movement of our world as an integrated whole. Rhoden and Richardson's creative vision has shaped an unmistakable level of athleticism and choreography in ballet that their dancers bring to the stage. This will be Richardson's farewell tour as a dancer with Complexions. A master workshop will enable advanced area dancers to experience Complexions' powerfully exquisite techniques first hand.
