Description:
The Shape of Us, the fall exhibition in the Kinsey Institute Gallery, explores diversity and the human body, using vintage artwork and a varied selection of contemporary photographs by Mariette Pathy Allen, Lynn Bianchi, Tom Bianchi, Rick Castro, Steve Diet Goedde, Michael Grecco, Brad Miller, Kevin O. Mooney, Dianora Niccolini, Michael Rosen, Michele Serchuk, J.D. Talasek, Sam Wang and others. A wide variety of body types will be represented, as well as body modification through clothing, tattooing and other means. This show is offered as part of Indiana Universitys Themester program. The Shape of Us will be on view in the Kinsey Institute Gallery from September 25 through December 24, 2009. An opening reception will be held on Friday, September 25, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Admission is free. Visitors should be 18 years of age or older, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
